I made this piece after a day spent walking along the coast, watching people move slowly through shallow water. Using ink and diluted acrylic, I kept the figures fragile, letting the surrounding colour carry most of the weight. It was created from sketches I made on that walk, later finished back in London. This work is about shared silence and the comfort of not being alone within it.
